Sickness in Sweden

It really was inevitable...
Running your tail off for the last 9 and 1/2 weeks, this is definitely the LORD saying, "Slow the heck down, Steve!"

The 22nd Birthday

That's right folks, if you missed it, better mark your calendars for next year. Had my very first Swedish Birthday, and it was awesome! Went to a local amusement park, got tricked into going on the tunnel of love with one of my friends (because I couldn't read the sign....) and it was an extremely fun-filled day.

Just expecting all of you next year to actually buy my something expensive. that's all I ask...

Or you could learn the Swedish Birthday song... And then find little kiddies to sing it to me...

Rainy Days

This is what happens when you forget your umbrella at another friend's house.



I don't remember ever being this soaked in my life... I laughed a lot that night. Sweden definitely has some rain in the summer!

Blindside

Blindside is one of my favorite bands ever. I joked with friends about how I'm going to meet Blindside here in Sweden, because their hometown is Stockholm. I didn't think it was going to happen...

...until last night.

I was sitting at the subway station Slussen, and last night was a big Metallica concert here in Stockholm. People were everywhere, and in the midst of the crowd, Christian (the lead singer) from Blindside



sat on the bench next to me. Turns out, he got on my train, and lives 4 stations away from me in Vårberg. I sat next to him on the subway, and we chatted about life, why I'm in Sweden from L.A., and how I was encouraged through what he does for God... it was extremely cool.

So, maybe next time we should joke about me meeting President Bush or something like that... with my luck...

This never happens in Simi Valley..

I had a buddy fly in to see me this week from Germany. He was a foreign exchange student to Royal High School, and he and I were in Band together. Sure enough, when he comes up to visit me, we stumble upon a free brass quintet inside beautiful Svenska Krykan in Uppsala.
