Proverbs 26:11

"Like a dog who returnts to its vomit is a fool who repeats his folly."

And I can honestly say that I feel like I'm going to vomit...maybe there's a connection...I think so.

Is He worth it all?

Frustration comes when there's no understanding...

Here's what doesn't make sense: If the Gospel is THE message that brings sinful, wicked, disgusting people finally into a right standing with the Creator of the Universe, then why don't we do whatever it takes to get the Gospel to lost and dying people?

the context of this whole thought is this: I go to bible college, where we are so blessed to learn from God's Word every single day, and I'm so GRATEFUL for the privilege to go and be a part of it. But...Christian bubbles are the biggest frustration that I see in others lives, and in my own as well... Just in my group of friends...I don't remember seeing a non-believer hang out with us in a good year. A YEAR WITH A GROUP WHO LOVES JESUS, and yet not one person who differs from our basic belief in the Son of God.

Some hypothetical thoughts I've heard:

"It's so hard to find a community of people who don't believe in Jesus." - Absolute baloney. Our world consists of people who DON'T CARE AT ALL about God, and they live right next door.

"I don't have the time to be around non-believers. I have so much schoolwork, it's ridiculous." - Drop some classes then. Is it more important to learn about God, or live amongst people and show them the love of God?

"I'm shy. It's hard for me to talk to people...I get nervous." - Does the Gospel then even matter?

I've come to this conclusion: I CARE MORE ABOUT MY COMFORT IN RELATIONSHIPS THAN I DO ABOUT THE GOSPEL OF THE LORD JESUS. If I really believed that the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation for those who believe (Rom. 1:16-17), I would do something about it.

This is the realization that I've come to. Believers have been entrusted with the ministry of reconciliation from God, and he tells us that we are His Ambassadors, as if God is speaking directly through us (2 Cor. 5:17-20). God commands us to make disciples of all nations, because Jesus has all authority in Heaven and on Earth (Matt. 28:18-20). We are to shine our light bright, so that others may see our good deeds and praise the Father who is in Heaven (Matt 5:14-16)

How then can we be ambassadors if we aren't among those foreign to us?
How can we make disciples of people who are ALREADY DISCIPLES?
How can we see others glorify the Father who is in heaven based on our good works, if we are constantly around people who already praise the Father?

God has entrusted believers with the Gospel. Is the Gospel the most important message in human history? Is Jesus worth our discomfort, our pain, our humility, our sacrifice? Is He worth it all?
