Rev. 21:3-5

"And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. And he who was seated on the throne said, 'Behold, I am making all things new."

This should be our goal in life...

God has worked so hard to be in relation with us. And yet most of us are extremely flippant when it comes to our pursuit of Him.

May this final picture of God dwelling with man FOREVER be your motivation to strive after Him radically! This is the point of Heaven....

Some men think this way...

"Heaven is totally overrated. It seems boring. Clouds, listening to people play the harp. It should be somewhere you can’t wait to go, like a luxury hotel. Maybe blue skies and soft music were enough to keep people in line in the 17th century, but Heaven has to step it up a bit. They’re basically getting by because they only have to be better than Hell."

-- Joel Stein
Columnist for the Los Angeles Times.

And he's right.
He's describing the mediocrity of heaven without God as the central focus of heaven.
May you catch glimpses of Heaven as you pursue Christ, the true meaning of Heaven.
